2nd Visit to the Hotel

Ian & I decided to visit the hotel again to have a look at the deco that the hotel provides for free, Tiff & Ben tagged along since Ben is so willingly giving us ideas to help deco the place a bit but he spent 95% of his time in the hotel's toilet while we checked out the decos, guess he can give some suggestion on how to deco the toilet.

Courtyard where our wedding matrimonial gonna be held at

Jinjang lah the colour!

Conclusion, the place kinda worn out and run down. Don't really like the deco, supposingly the theme colour is Ivory & Gold but turns out to be metalic yellowish gold (jinjang) & white. For the price of what we are paying is not worth it, why? because

Some string attached directly on top of the main door

The list goes on.....

Yes! 5th of July 2008

Yes! Finally have a place and a date for my wedding in Holiday Villa Victorian Ballroom.

this place is so much better than other place I've been too, so different from other hotels eventho is still in a hotel ballroom serving 9 course chinse dinner *bored* (no choice, not many ppl appreciate western food) , but their ballroom is not like other ballroom, this victorian ball room is surrounded by the lake and have a very nice view of it.

Anyway I'm so not good at describing/expressing how I feel, so I am ending it here now!

p/s Small ballroom, low budget, limited guest list, sorry to those not invited Ian and I will try to work something out for you guys! Wedding guest list will be out soon.

I'm in Love with Carcosa Seri Malaysia

Is a Love at first sight for Ian & I when we saw the pictures of my friend's wedding, I said to myself "Yes! this is the place I've always been looking for, finally I've found it" but unfortunately the cheapest price for the dinner per person starts from RM 210 ++ for sit down dinner. Well all I can do is only dream about it now and have our wedding in Holiday Villa.

I've told my friends how beautiful is that place and words cannot describe how I felt when I saw those pictures, they gave me a "what so big deal or so great about this place"look, well I guess I should show you those pictures and judge it by yourself, some may not like it but who cares? as long as I like it mah!

Let me have the honour to introduce you to Carcosa Seri Malaysia .
In 1896, Sir Frank started constructing his official residence above the Lake Gardens. This was Carcosa, probably a stylization of the Italian cara cosa or "dear place".

In 1904, Sir Frank moved to Carcosa, at the same time finishing a building called "King's House" on an adjacent hillside. King's House, today Seri Negara (which means "beautiful country"), was to house the Governor of the Straits Settlements as well as other illustrious guests of the Malay Federation.

From 1904 until the 1941 Japanese invasion of Malaysia, Carcosa was the official residence of the highest British representative to the Malay States.
Today, Carcosa is one of the leading hotels with its manicured lawns and the lake gardens, a part of Malaysia which seemingly can never change.

GARDEN WEDDING!!!!!!!

Exchanging vow ceremony

Dinner under a covered canopy that fits 25 table max, don't have to worry about mozzie and rain anymore, how considerate of them to help ease the worries off the peoples, well what you pay is what you get.

credits to the photographer, really nice shots you have.

a dish that I wont be able to pronounce or remember and afford

Whoever is reading this entry is getting married soon and have the dough, I'll recommend you this place the price is reasonable for what you are getting french food, garden wedding, chandelier, ambiance, nice deco, good services and last but not least "NOT ANOTHER 9 COURSE CHINESE DINNER!"

This place is so beautiful, can die!

p/s Thanks Gabriel for the pics, although I didn't ask for your permission.

Wedding Plan Changed!

Stress! There is so much changes to our plan from the beginning till now, from no wedding ceromony to wedding ceromony then to no wedding ceromony then again to wedding ceromony, ok now wedding ceromony, small wedding ceromony close family and friends only then not so close family and friends only and now hotel ballroom, I feel like is not my wedding anymore but our parents wedding!!

Ian and I are now looking at having the ceromony at Holiday Villa Subang, I just received their quotation and guess what? 1 table cost more than RM 1k including tax, getting married is so expensive now days, some times I feel like flying off to USA and ask Elvis to married us.

Anyway, Ian and I is gonna visit Holiday Villa some time this week to have a look at the place, hopefully everything will turn out well and NO MORE CHANGES! keeping my fingers crossed.

1st Venue visited

Courtyard garden is at the top of our list of venues, but it turn out to be out of my expectation, why? Because Ian & I wanted to have a small intimate wedding and both are bored of typical chinese wedding, and Courtyard garden runs their business in a Bungalow in Damansara Heights which you can reserve the whole bungalow to yourself.
Saturday Ian & I made an appointment to have a look at the place since there's a wedding going on, don't really like the concept as the place still looks like a house and is out of my expectation, erm I don't really know how to explain my self here, I'll just let you see for yourself

Ugly aircond compressor facing the entrance

Cook roasting lamp beside the walk way.

Your table is just next to the toilet

tables placed in the "living room"

"Side Garden"

" Back garden"

Just imagine

Ian: Dear where is Mr. A sitting?

Me: Mr. A is in the living room?

Ian: How about Mr. B?

Me: Back garden

Ian: Is MJ and MC here yet?

Me: Oh they are in the master bedroom.

Ian: *Sweat*

Choosing my gown

I've been searching everywhere for a nice gown and I notice a number of people chooses strapless gown for their wedding (how boring!) anyway I've got a few gowns that I like a lot, planning to tailor it as you know that renting is not cheap now days and also with a height like mine I would rather let the designer decide.

Here are some gowns that I fell in love with, but Ian seems to be giving the same "you like lah!" response every time I ask him whether he like it or not (he's not a very cooperative fiance I must say).

My all time favourite, love the overall and tiffany agree with me too!

love the "V" bac

Tiff said that it looks more like a lingerie, but I like =)

Simple speggetti strap

with sleeve, something different but some says looks aunty if I wear it.
